Privacy policy

What we collect

• Account: your username, the name you give us and your password (stored only as a secure hash).
• What you make: your prompts, the photos you upload, your personas and the images and videos made for you, and anything you post to the Community wall.
• Payments: Stripe takes your card details; we never see them. Stripe tells us the amount, the date and the email you gave at checkout.
• Technical: a login cookie to keep you signed in, and server logs (such as IP address and errors) kept for security and fixing problems.

Why we use it

• To provide the service you signed up for - creating, storing and showing your content (contract).
• To take payments and keep accounting records (contract and legal obligation).
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and moderate the Community wall (legitimate interests).

We do not sell your data and we do not use advertising cookies.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run Firstswell for us: our hosting (Render), our database and file storage (Supabase), payments (Stripe), and the AI providers that make your images, videos and text (such as fal.ai, WaveSpeed, Siray, Google and Anthropic). They receive the prompts and images needed for each job. Some are based outside the UK; where that happens the transfer is covered by safeguards recognised under UK law.

How long we keep it

Your account and content are kept until you delete them or close your account. Payment records are kept for six years because tax law requires it. Server logs are kept for a short time only.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. Contact the contact address on our contact page. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Children

Firstswell is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

We will update this page if anything changes, and tell you on the site if the change is important.
